Review for Four Wives by Wendy Walker

Wendy Walker

Welcome

Hello Readers!

This summer has been such a treat for me. After giving out over fifty advanced copies of Four Wives, we could not be more pleased with the overwhelmingly positive response! (Check out the "Advance Praise" link to read some of the comments). Readers found the novel fun and suspenseful, which was a great relief to me as a first- time author. But what was even more gratifying was that women truly saw pieces of themselves in the characters. Whether it was Marie’s struggle to balance work and family, Love’s collapse under the weight of caring for three little children, Gayle’s abusive husband or Janie’s dying marriage – everyone who read the book found something that truly resonated. This was exactly my goal for the novel!

On the other hand, with my own kids home from school, I can’t say I have been very productive. It has been a whirlwind of camps and activities and travel, and if I am being honest, I was glad to see the start of school! Now I am back to my crazy routine of driving and writing (in my minivan again). My second novel is well underway and I am really looking forward to the debut of Four Wives on February 19th, 2008.

To all of you who took the time to read Four Wives this summer and give your thoughtful reviews, thank you so much! To future readers, thanks for visiting my site. I hope you will look for the novel in stores this winter - and enjoy!

Best,
Wendy
